Here is my problem. I plan to order all my computer parts on Black Friday, but will the 8800GTs be in stock? Or should I go ahead and buy as soon as I find one in stock.

Did you have a particular brand in mind? XFX, BFG, Foxconn? Also, 320mb or 640mb version?

I wouldn't worry about it. When's black friday?

Don't expect a drastic price cut on a GPU that has been on the market for less than 1 month, especially since the retail outlets that might drop the prices for Black Friday are still selling 6000 series cards, and the manufacturers will be inclined to dump the out of fashion cards with rebates etc rather than flogging their newest (greatest) card.

As far as being "out of stock", that is not a real concern either. I would expect "oos" to be more common THIS week, than 30 days from now.

Whether you buy today, or tomorrow, it is up to you, but if I was buying, I would buy today and not worry that maybe I could save $10 tomorrow.

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving, when pure retail businesses that rely upon seasonal sales are suppose to do enough in sales to put them in the black for the year. As such, the competition for customers is great, and price drops are common place to attract customers.
