A question to which i cannot find an answere alone...
I'm going to set a RAID 0 on my pc to increment performance (I'm a Gamer and Video Maker).
Now the question is. I have 2 320gb Seagate 7200.10 HD and setting them to raid 0 I will have more or less a 640Gb Disk.
Since I ofter format my pc due the quantity of **** software, troyan ecc that after some time i got on it I was asking myself.
If I make a partition of let's say 80Gb from a Raid0 HD, will I still have Raid Performance? Or i need to leave it like one only HD?
Thank you

what raid controller do you have? if you have the intel chipset use the matrix raid options. Usually ctrl-I during start up to setup a raid 0 and a raid 1.

If either of the drives goes down you'll lose both raid 0 parititions.
