I have a duo core 2.4Gz , 2G ram, 8600M GT Graph, with Vista Bussi, running Counter strike cz and 1.6 it even tho I have set the graph card to performence and in cs typed in fps_max 101 I still do no get 100 fps, anyone have any idea what is going on? I will only get around 60 in CZ and about 70 in 1.6 counter strike, but in C source is 120 something, plz help, thanks...

Vsync... with HL engine. All things are vsync.

Vertical sync on the Source engine is only on if you enable it.

You will, however, want Vsync to be enabled. Otherwise, you will notice tearing, as one frame is only half replaced with another.

i dont see what the problem is if your getting around 60fps? the human eye cant register anything higher than 60fps so you dont need to get 100fps to perform just as well as those people who are getting 100fps. And if your getting over 100fps in cs:source but only 60-70 in cs 1.6 then its not your card thats just how the game is.

I changed the aspect ratio on my screen and now the fps is 100, what is going on, haha? anyone can explan?
