I have a BFG geforce 6800 OC http://www.bfgtech.com/bfgr68128oc.aspx

and i was wondering if i should increase the voltage to the GPU using the bios

PS i am not using this card to game much. I mainly use it for video editing and croma keying

currently the most i can overclock it is 381MHz for the GPU and 730MHz for the memory

i basically want to increase the GPU voltage but none of these values seem to be the GPU voltage

i herd many people getting much better overclocks by increasing the GPU voltage to 1.5V

I'm sure you would get a better OC and it's really up to you to decide whether you want to or not.

If it dies, there's no way to flash it back, thus nullifying BFG's lifetime warranty.

the bios shows 1.2V for the gpu, I was thinking about trying 1.25V

using the voltage table editor

but not sure how well the nvflash tool works with the 6800 by BFG (it works good for croma keying but it will have trouble with some HD shots that have a lot of activity, (but all of these problems go away at 400MHz with a rivatuner overclock, the only problem is that the card is not completely stable at 400MHz )

Ive O.C my 6800GT from 350mhz > 430mhz core & 1000mhz > 1150mhz DDR3.... using 1.4V

Made quite a difference from stock specs.

But perhaps the standard 6800 doesnt like such high overclocks. 1.4 is playing it safest i'd say.
