Hi, I'm upgrading my 4-year old Pentium4 PC.

I'm on a budget but flexible, and I use my PC for editing videos and, at times, games with minimal to medium quality.
What should I get?

Processor: E6550 or E6750?
Video card: Inno3D 8600GT?
Motherboard?
RAM: 2Gb? 3Gb?

Suggest other stuff too.

Things to know:
-I leave my PC on 24/7
-I use Adobe Premiere Pro 2 and Windows XP. I don't want to shift to Vista, heard it wasn't worth it.

Thank you.

Video editing is CPU intensive so you'd be better off with the E6750. Either of these mobo would work, the advantage of the ASUS is it has onboard firewire if you have a digital camcorder.

The dilemma you face is that the video card is more important for games while the CPU is more important for games. Given the way you run your games I'd put the money into the CPU
