- Im thinking i could possibly get a cheaper mobo.
- If i dont keep that graphics card ima turn this pc into like a microsoft word/e-mail pc so im keeping that.
- case is a piece of **** but this pc is going to my parents after i get my gaming rig so im getting a plain case.
- Ram is fine i think lol.
- Processor.. well im not too sure on this, i always tell people quad core or nothing but i wont be ocing this pc so not too sure what to do here (go with 6850 or Q6600, or something cheaper).
- Hard drive fine
- PSU is good because it leaves room for upgrades

$100 less expensive hard drive
$100 less expensive CPU
$30 less expensive 8800GT
$20-30 less expensive PSU
$20 less expensive case
$30 less expensive motherboard

That should get you in the vicinity. Where do you plan to do your shopping? Favorite online sources? Not much point in giving suggestions unless we know you can order them.

You can get a PC power and Cooling 610w which is far better for $119 right from the manufacturer's website.

If you are not doing SLI, you can get a much cheaper Mobo.
You should really check to see if that mobo will support Penryn.
My guess is no and you should try to find one that will.

If you go SLI intel, get this ASAP:

Online deal only. They won't honor online prices in stores. Don't bother walking in. The XFX 680i LT alone costs over $200. Check it out at ncix. Either sell the P-D CPU or keep it as a backup.
