8800 GT Power Connector Question

Question? the y connector that is used to provided additional power to the 8800GT, I know one end has to be connected to the power supply but does the other connector have to be plugged in as well to the power supply or is it used to provide power to another internal component. Thanks for your support.

Depends if it is male/female. If the other end is male, than it is used to power something else. If it's female then it's used for additional power. I personally would try to isolate the v-card from all other devices.

That means you must plug both into a power source. So plug both of them in from the power supply and you should be good to go.
