Hey, its a bit odd to yank your quad out and file the $hit out of it, but for an hours time, maybe less for you, it does work. I just did my g0 the other day, and did my B3 right now! (B3's code name was really "flamethrower" internally for intel!) And mine lived up to the name! It doesnt like to OC in the board I have, but it is at 2.85Ghz, and the cores were 73/73/69/69 On Torture test, small Ftts when ran a good amount of time. So far the instant gains are obvious, as the cores are at 66/65/60/60 max. (So 5 c difference minimum, we'll chock the other 2 up for randomness.) And supposedly there is a setting period of about a week in which you will gain a little more decrease in temps. My TCase maxed out at 61c. Now its maxed at 51c!!! So not only are the cores way cooler, the overall temp is near 10 c down!!

So the bottom line? Trade your warranty for coldness! It works, and it didnt blow up from me tossing it about on paper, alcohol pads, towels, sand paper. (so thats 2 quads and 2 arctic squares lapped! Cant test the g0 quad because my maximus board decided it didnt need to write a new bios version after erasing the old one!)

Wow cool! It did make a major difference in temp.! I'm thinking about doing this to my Q6600, but frankly i'm a big pussy and i'm scared in damaging it! If i damage it, i don't want to use my Pentium 3 Again -_-!

Did the G0 as well, didnt have any base tems because the board went to the birds, but I just got a p5k-e and oc'd it to 3.0 on stock voltage, and cant get a 60c out of the bunch! Weird! And my b3 had two flame thrower cores, 0 and 1 were 5 c hotter than the other two. This time its core 1 is the flamethrower, at 5 c over the other three. Anyone else have hot single cores?
