Guys if you could help that would be great,

Heres the scoop. I set my x800 aiw pro to connect to my tv so i could watch some online content. It works fine i cloned my monitor to show the content on my tv, but if i watch a dvd or on line content it is just a black display everything else shows up fine the media player or IE, the video is playing on my computer but not on the tv.

I know that this description is a little convoluted sorry

any help would be appreciated

Try this and see if it changes anything:

 

Set your displays to Extended instead of Cloned. You may need to disable and re-enable the secondary monitor in order to do this... not sure. In Catalyst Control Center, under Video --> Theater mode, change the "Extended Desktop shows overlay" to "in Theater Mode (full screen)"

 

That's how I have my X1800XL AIW set. DVD and most online content playback plays full screen on my secondary monitor.

I can't remember the exact options in CCC, but there are some really good tools for what you are doing (in fact I like ATI htpc options more than Nvidias). For example, you can set up your PC so that the video displayed on the TV will always stretch to fill the screen and you can make it so that your TV will always display full screen video even if you are using clone and the video is windowed or minimized on the main screen.
