More Information

So i recently upgraded and my aging XFX7800GT cannot play the latest games to the max at 1280x1024 (i have a 17" Samsung)

system specs:
E8400 stock
GA-P35-DS3L
Corsair XMS2 2x2048 4-4-4-12 DDR2-800
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 32MB cache Parallel write technology
OCZ StealthXstream 600W PSU

I tried using Rivatuner, but its strangely missing the test function
I also tried nTune, and it seems to test fine, but i dont believe the results

The card's stock OC is 450MHz Core and 1.05 GHz memory

I comfortably pushed it to around 480MHz/1.2GHz and passes the nTune tests, but call of duty 4 stutters..whats the easiest way to test the clokcs? i dont feel like opening a game everytime i increase like one clock cycle

Is it ok to open the game and switch to windows to adjust the clock ? or would the result not take effect until the PC reboots or something ?
