Hello,

i just finished fitting my new cpu fan (Zalman CNPS9700 LED) but when i switch on my pc the fan doesnt spin.
sometimes its spins for like a milli second but then it just stops.
I tried changing the fan power lead to a diffrent one on the mobo but it still doesnt work.

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Make sure you have it plugged into the CPUFAN fan header; otherwise, the system may think you have no CPU fan and automatically shut down. If you've got an OEM CPU cooler, try plugging in that instead.

Sounds like Smart Fan feature, if its hooked up to the CPU header. Basically your CPU needs to be at a specified temp for it to turn on. So for example, if it set to turn on at 40C or higher, the fan will stay off till that temp is reached.

Might help more if you list what cpu/mb your using.

If you like you can go in the Bios and turn off the Smart Fan feature and have the fan spinning at all times.
