Just grabbed a board lastnight! Everyone and their mother appear to have good luck on this board. Anything has to beat this 680i. FSB holes up the a$$

So, now I am looking for G0 and b3 q6600 in combination with this board. All basic settings would help. Ya know, mem timings and type, NB, SB, VTT, 1.2 HT, VCore FSB, Multi... etc.

I am very much interested in any weird things you may have noticed with the board. Does it have a mind of its own? Does it like when you do things just so? Anything you may have noticed about this board and proc combo worth telling? Thats what I wanna know!

I am also interested in any info you may have regarding a P5n32 E Sli... if you also happen to have a quad on this board as well!

Thanks you all!

VTT/vCore FSB = Same thing. FSB Termination Voltage.

SB doesn't need more than 1.05v
NB shouldn't need a ton unless running >3GB or high FSB.

The board is great. It's not that hard to work with. Just be smart about it and don't ask for other peoples settings, everyones optimal voltages might be different.

Yeah, I was more interested in seeing what worked for others! I know all to well the "nothing works the same" motto of comp electronics! Just putting Vista on it right now. Its configured like this: P5k e Wifi, q6600 G0, 8800 GTS normal, 2 x 250 gig wd 2.5 inch SATA laptop drives in raid 0, lol, arctic square cooler, Lapped and such, both proc and cooler. 2 x 2 GB GeIL PC 8500 RAM, Vista Home Premium, since it "sees" more RAM than Vista Ultimate, unless ya use 64 bit. (I always get 3.0 GB RAM with ultimate, and 3378-3.5 with Home Premium. Did they hurry the memory mapping whatever of vista ultimate?)

Thanx!

eeep! Hehe, thats pretty far up there! My experience is minimal! But what the hell! Bring it on. I accidentally set my B3s voltage to 1.81250, checked for vdroop, was shocked to see it at 1.78, loaded core temp and they were at 89ish, lol! Meant to set it to my stock voltage of 1.31250. I didnt think it would boot, let alone load vista! The cores were IDLE at 89ish, heheeh! So I am down! If that didnt toast it, I cant toast it while paying attention to a tried set of parameters!!

(I hope.)

Man, I B*tched about 3.25 gigs? My 780i sees 2.75, that blows pretty hard. As far as the p5k-e goes. Its very simple to work with, has minimal vdroop, and is pretty straight forward. Got her stable at 3737 without much of a fight.
The cost wasnt to bad, and it OCs higher than any board I have now. (Except maybe when my maximus formula gets here!!)

Its in the mail, and on the way! If it;s even a little bit better than the p5k-e, I will be happy! I supposedly get it on thursday. 20 day service, took like 50 days!

Waaaaaahhh!

I mean, Yippie! Its on its way, wonder what Bios the placed on it!

Been happily doing everything I normally do with zero problems at 3.8 with a FSB of 475. Appears to be fast! If only it was SLI, hehe.

Looks like x 8 multi, 475 fsb, mem in sync at 950 and processor at 3.8 is as high as it goes for me, since my processor cant take much more and be stable. The voltage is already the 1.5 volt rated max. Just under it, actually, 1.496, hehe!

I have posted and booted at 500 FSB so thats 1 Ghz for your ram! Though I need a better q6600 for that speed! Have to be 4.0 stable. But imagine the speed, yee haw! For a q6600 that is, @ 200 bucks. p5k-e wifi = 150 bucks. 350 bucks for 3.8. Fair trade! So what if I want more??
