I am building a new gaming PC at the begining of December and am wondering if there is anything else I should be waiting for.

Specifically, is there going to be a new SLI platform from nvidia before christmas?
It would be nice to potentially put 2 8800Gts is SLI on a newer platform than the aging 680i.

Also, does anybody know an ETA on the new radeon GPUs? If the new radeons are as good as the 8800GT and about the same price then I can do crossfire instead of SLI and use an X38 chipset.

I've also read that penryn for the desktop isn't coming out until Q108 so I guess I don't need to worry about new CPUs.
