Hello forum members.
I have been slogging away with the following system for some time now and feel the need to build a new rig.

Athlon 64 300+
Nforce 4 board
Radeon x1950pro
2gb dual chan ram
250gb Western digital drive

I want to replace everything but the x1950 and hard drive (for the moment) and have been looking at this upgrade pack on Komplett.ie
http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=339000

Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 3.0GHz 1333Mhz Socket LGA775, 4MB
Asus P5N32-E SLI, nForce-680i SLI, ATX, Socket-775, 2xGbLAN, DDR2, 2xPCI-Ex16
A-DATA DDR2 PC6400 4096MB CL5 Kit w/two matched DDR2 800 2048MB CL5

Will I notice a big improvement in my gaming with this upgrade?
I could also order a 2nd 250gb drive and set up a raid system but I don't know if its worth the hassle (I play Football manager daily and I was told I would benefit)
I will order it asap if it's considered a good system.
Case wise, I need something quiet but with good airflow. A 900 case with my current fan controller might do the trick.

E6850 is VERY VERY MUCH faster than ATHLON 3000, so u will see alot of improvements in programs and games which has alot to do with CPU

my suggestions,
1_ here are 2 Q6600 vs E6850 articles:
http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/core2quad-q6600.html
http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3038&p=8

2_If u arent going to OC, then keep that RAM, if u are going to OC , i suggest u getting a RAM with CL4 timings or CL3 timings

Do you mean the 2007/2008 game by Sega? From the look of it, it is a sports simulation. There are no 3D graphics at all. If the pc is for only that game & general Internet/home usage, a faster cpu & more ram will benefit you. Otherwise, no.

The E6850 is best at gaming & overclocking. The Q6600 can let you play the game & do other tasks such as scanning for virus at the same time without breaking a sweat.

The motherboard is a waste for a single card & non-overclockers. I would get the cheaper combo with Q6600 & P5N-E SLI & 2-4 GB.

If you get the Q6600 alone, it's expensive. € 259.00 vs € 398.01 (the above combo).

Get the E2160 and Clock it to 3.2Ghz.
Get 2gb instead of 4gb of RAM.

Thiw will save you plenty of money to get the 8800GT instead.
The GPU is very important for gaming.
This would be much faster.
