wich cpu for web hosting

I'd have cent os -cpanel and hosting a lot of domains.
Which server would be faster creating backups, processing logs, and serve normal website with mysql?
3 ghz dual core Xeon - FSB 667 MHz or
2,4 ghz quad core FSB 1066 MHz - no xeon

Even if you disable (2) of the Cores on the 2.4Ghz Quad Core FSB 1066 it would still handily beat the 3gh dual Core XEON FSB 667Mhz.

The reason is that XEON is quite old and not built using the new "C2D" Core.

Quad Core.
Twice as many cores, higher FSB, and newer core. The xeon is based on netburst, the quad core is based on C2D core

I'd say C2D-Quad over Xeon. But the other thing is the software. I use norton ghost as a backup, and notices it did use both cores on my E4400. Just not sure on the other things like other Backup software, SQL, logs, and such.
