More Information

I'm considering upgrading my HDD that I use for my OS. Windows XP and Linux (5 distros, for e.g.) would be installed on it.

I'm going to be testing the speed and performance of my current OS drive which is an older Seagate SATA ST320026AS 120GB HDD v.s. my current 'storage' drive which is the newer Samsung 500GB HDD. The older Seagate is listed in the charts here but where it is listed is at or near the bottom! LOL Anyway, I'm not sure it's worth the $$ to upgrade but perhaps?

Assuming it is, here are my choices thus far:
Seagate Barracuda (ST3250410AS) 7200.10 250GB SATA2 8.5MS 7200RPM 16MB Cache Hard Drive

or

Western Digital Caviar (WD2500AAKS) 250GB SATAII 7200RPM 16MB Buffer (OEM)

Which one do you recommend?
