Don't spend your cash on a 8600GT, take a 8800gt

Don't buy a rosewill PSU, go corsair (620HX for SLI)

At what resolution do you play?

If you don't realy play at high resolutions, it's better to buy just one GPU and switch the mobo to a P35

I agree with everything that ramo said.

On another note, if the 8800GT is just a bit too expensive for you, I would atleast consider an X1950Pro instead of that 8600GT.

Are you overclocking?

If so you can get a cheaper CPU.

But then you'll need a better HSF.

When you do get all of your parts, I recommend breadboarding the system. That way, you can test all of the parts before you put them in the case.

I really havnt overclocked much I have used software to do so, I play at the max res with the LCD I have its a 17". But if I learned and did some over clocking I would be willing to spend a little more money on an aftermarket HSF

and what brand of p35 do you recomend? I currently have an asus board and I like it, performs well

If youre gaming at 1280x1024 a sigle card will be enough

The following boards are all good

Asus PK5
Abit P35 pro
Gigabyte P35-DS3R

There are lots off guides on the web to OC your cpu
You could buy a Freezer 7 Pro (Artic-cooling) to do some light OCing
