Puzzling error message

I recently upgraded my factory supplied graphics card (Radeon X300) on my Dell Dimension 8400 to a Saphhire X1950 Pro PCI and all has been well for the past 3 weeks.
However, I turned on my computer tonight and I am instantly presented with the following error message:
RV570XT BIOS 512MB Hynix 690m/575e
The computer then hangs. I do not even see the motherboard manufacturer name and cannot access the bios as I am not presented with the option.

Can anyone explain what may be the cause of this and how to fix it?

I'd take a guess and say your PSU is not powerful enough or it has a failure.

See if the Radeon X300 still works in your machine. If so, then it must be to do with the new card. It may be broken or as mentioned it may be drawing too much power.
