hey guys i need help finding a heatsink that fits.
i have had bad luck with finding ones that fit in my motherboard.
i was thinking about getting a Thermalright Ultra-120 but i don't know if it will fit.
the heatsinks usually bump into the north-bridge or the heatsinks on the board.

my system:
(my first build)
d975bx2 -board
cm stacker 830
q6600
500gb sata
750w powersupply
2gb 800mhz twinx memory
evga 8800 gts scc graphics card

I'm not sure if the TRUE can fit, but it's designed to fit most performance board. The Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 will probably fit.

Use a ruler and measure it to be sure.

i don't think the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7 is good enough to cool it and i will measure to see if it will fit

How far are you going to OC?

Newegg lists the dimensions for the heatsinks btw.

if i can go higher with good temps i will and i have had bad luck with cooling so i want to orer cool it if it will fit. also the ifx-14 my fit instead, is it any better than the True

Reply to tetracore44

The TRUE is the best. You might need to do some lapping though.

im a little weary of lapping

Reply to tetracore44

I agree. I believe it's flatter now, but you might come across one that requires lapping.
