im getting a
XFX MB-N680-ISH9 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

and was thinking about getting

Kingston HyperX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

not sure if its a good idea tho its expensive
i want something that works well with the sli mobo
and works and performs well out of the box
as well as if i wanted to oc
please help

:) You don't need the best ram to o/c cpu on 680i. You can unlink cpu & ram & o/c just the cpu.
