Okay, here is the deal. This looked good to me, because it was 2 x 2 gb. Ordered 2.1-2.3 volt junk, ended up with 2.35-2.5 volt, so I can swap it out for whatever I want on New Egg. Anyone familiar with RAM, feel free to recommend what you would do. Its like 440$ so I can get whatever, pretty much.

What I want: Some good overclockers Ram, with decent timings in a 2 x 2 GB.
Dont know much about this GeIL stuff, fit the basic parameters of what I wanted. Even has double size heat sinks with passthroughs. Everyone is always jabbering about Corsair dominator RAM. Nows yer chance to say why!

Any help or opinions would be great, personal use is always better then reading. ;)
Thanks!! (Again.)

It looked good, but it was high voltage stuff, and from what I have been told, the lower the better at whatever speed. So now's my chance to get some that may be better.
Though I am looking for some 1066 junk! Unless that 1 to 1 ratio is the shiznit. I'd like to understand if the one to one is better than say, fsb 1333 w 1066 ram, or 667 ram, which is trash!! Explain, please?

FSB1333 really means 333MHz, so 1:1 will be 667MHz. Some people like to run it on other settings, but I read a review saying there is no difference, as long as the timings are adjusted accordingly.

You are right that getting ram with lower voltage is better, but my ram which is rated at 2.2V is running perfectly on 2.1V.

yeah, I have been wondering about that. I assume 1066 5-5-5-15 when ran so low, you can really tighten the timings. Never tried that, but I guess thats how you dont lose the performance?

How about the voltage? Its spd to do the 800 mhz thing at 1.8 volts. If I am technically running it slower than that, do I need the full voltage? or does that become needed when you start to lower the timings at a slower speed?

Uh, oh... I feel another question coming on!

Gonna get some GSkill 1066 rated at 2.0-2.1 volt. Already ordered it. 4 x 2 gig stix. Anyone have clue whats with ram rated at 1.9-2.5 volts? That somewhat makes me wonder. I always thought that the rating meant it can operate at its advertised speeds at the voltage range. 2.0-2.1 So 2.0 volts at 1066 with its timings should work just fine. Is that right? So in theory, that would make the stuff I just ordered not "as good" as the other ram because it can operate at 1.9 volts @1066 without supposed problems?
