I'm looking at wall plugged Ethernet, I'm wondering if it would match the speed of at least a G network. I would love to not mess with wifi. I'm wondering if I have 10 MBPS internet (from charter) is that the same as the 14 MBPS wall plugged ethernet?

I'm not speaking from experience of using wallplugs but theoretically the figures you mention make sense -- there shouldn't be the gross speed loss that's normal in wireless.
