to test the CPU, orthos ran "small FFTs" test for 12 hour. so i think the CPU is stable.

how do i test the RAM? what setting do i use?

what other tests must i do before declaring the system is stable?

Just a couple questions regarding the small FFT first. Was it active on all cores? Was "Round off Checking" enabled under the advanced menu? If so, then CPU is fine. Now run Blend test. That will test CPU/RAM.

Hey Thanatos! This may sound stupid, but if you can crank away at the small Ftts for hours with orthos and prime 95, then do the blend test and fail with the rounding errors after a somewhat short period of time, does that make it pretty confident that it is the ram causing the problem? With rounding on, so it stops, and runnin' on all your cores at the same time, of course! I would LOVE to have a somewhat positive answer regarding this!!
