Vista CP will not uninstall ANYTHING. I don't get the account control permission to continue box (which I tried disabling and it didn't help)and after getting no permission box I can then click on 'uninstall' and it just keeps telling me to wait while it is uninstalling but it NEVER uninstalls ANYTHING, EVER. I don't know when this started. I haven't tried to uninstall anything since getting the laptop. It won't even uninstall a simple game. I know some programs have to be uninstalled from the registry. This is not the case here. It won't ininstall anything.

Was this a used laptop you got? Run a virus/malware scan.
Are all the Vista updates/patches installed?
If those don't help, you may need to run at least a Repair setup of Vista to fix any corruptions.
