Hello,

I am kinda new at this stuff and I am trying to make a network hard drive accessable via the internet (all for about $200 or less). So far this is what I plan on doing:

Buy this enclosure (I do not like the fact that it is not sata....but people seemed to complain about all the ones that were sata compatible):

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817801019

Then insert a hard drive into it (I am not sure which one to use, please recomed anything you find appropriate). ATM I am thinking of using this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6822136111 (but I am scared of the fact that it will be difficult to install since it is OEM and not retail...is there any real difference in installation?)

and finally how do I tie it all together and access it through the internet.

THANKS!!! I really appreciate the help. And please be very detailed cause I am not very technical and get easily confused.

OEM drives are no different than retail drives, and neither are their warranties.

They just don't come with the SATA cable, is all. :)

If you're new to this, you'd probably be better off looking at something like adrive.com or xdrive.com; it's a lot easier than trying to persuade your ISP to allocate you a static IP address.

Warranties are different between OEM and Retail components.
