This build is primarily for gaming, thus the high end graphics card and dual-core as opposed to quad. If you think there are cheaper parts with the same performance/ better parts for just a little more OR if there are any compatibility issues with these parts, please let me know! I'm open to all suggestions and comments, thanks!

Verify the GTX will fit the case, it is a long card.

Also suggest an alternate cooler for the cpu. It has a lot of headroom, as mine is running a steady 3.4, with a small bump in voltage.

I watercooled mine, and it stays at about 30c on orthos, vs 54c stock, with the GTX at 52c, vs 84 on the stock cooler.

That looks pretty good, but i see a little room for improvement.

Case: Pretty much a matter of personal preference, and that one should be just as good as any.

Motherboard: Great choice.

GPU: I would look at an eVGA 8800gt and take advantage of the StepUp when the more powerful g92 based cards are released. I am in the process of going from a 320MB GTS to an 8800gt and it's been great so far.

PSU: Gotta love PCP&P.

CPU: Definitely spend the extra for a Q6600. Well worth it in the long run, and a G0 stepping would just sweeten the deal.

RAM: Good stuff. Glad to see you didn't waste $ on overpriced DDR2-1066.

Optical: Whatever :kaola:

HDD: The Seagate .11's are right around the corner, and the 500GB model looks sweet. No sense in holding off for a hard drive though, but I thought I'd mention it.

Man all these new build threads make me want to upgrade, F you socket 939
