I got up this morning and checked Newegg, feeling certain that they'd be sold out already. No dice. Are the cards releasing today or on the 19th? I've heard both. It's the only thing holding up the wife's new rig.... C'mon ATI....gimme!

Yes, I really want to know this as well. Anyone know?

I would assume today. Why would a good percentage jump the gun? The worst thing that can happen is that you get a preorder instead of an actual order, and then on the 19th...it will ship.

Fry's has it listed on pre-order status... for 280 US. How ridiculous.

going like HOT CAKES! Hopefully they get them back in stock before the 8800GT's are or people will suck them up instead. I love impatient people, they drive some of this stuff. I will sit back and wait for the right time to strike.

3870 Sapphire's back in stock at the egg! Hurry!

Reply to ettenra

Sapphire 3870 in stock at new egg this very moment for $219. I just ordered mine! Upgrading from a 7800gt that is struggling with native resolution of my monitor (1280by1024). By the way, I was signed up for auto notify but never received my message for this card. I just so happened to check back "just to make sure".

I've come to grips with the fact that it isn't what I thought it would be, but ATI..... I mean AMD... made up for it with the price. It's not what I am looking for, which is a top performer so I will pass on it. But those looking for a card in the low $200 mark it's the card to get.
