Hey guys i just built a new system about a month ago and it is used for gaming
specs are as follows
q6600 g0 stock heatsink getting a xigmatek
visiontek 3870
gigabyte p35 ds3l
2 gig stick patriot ram 667 mhrz 5-5-5-15 timings
wd hd 7200 rpm 160 gig sata
600w silver power blue light psu

i am posting this thread because i would like to know what components or component would be best to overclock.
i know that ocing the q6600 won't do that much as nothing can use all of it, so what component would i oc?

Ocing the cpu will help a lot in gaming, I guarantee that. Ocing the vidcard will also give you a notable performance boost.

i think you should get a zalman 9700 and oc it to 3.0

ok thanks im thinking of trying to get it to 3.5 but i need to see if i got a good one first.
what about the ram? i know with the lowest multiplier 1:1, and a 333 fsb i will be running the ram at 666 and the cpu at 3 ghrz. however if i want to go past that is my ram ok to oc? idk if its any good. im thinking of switching it out. any recommmendations?
and im not getting a zalman 9700

I just OC'ed my q6600 w/gigabyte ep35c ds3r to 3.0 ghz and memory was at 1k something STABLE.
