I'm looking to upgrade my system from an old Giga 7VT600 system to a new AM2 rig with more punch. Problem is, funds are limited and I can't afford to upgrade my 2 IDE hard drives. These, combined with my CD drives, demand 2 IDE ports and I was wondering if anyone knew of an ATX AM2 DDR 2 Mobo that has 2 such ports. If I can accomodate my old IDE drives without buying an IDE card, it would help - I can always upgrade to SATA bit by bit later. Any suggestions?

I went to newegg and did a power search for AMD motherboards:

Home > Computer Hardware > Motherboards > AMD Motherboards > PATA[2 x ATA100 4 Dev. Max ],CPU Socket Type[AM2 ],CPU Socket Type[AM2+/AM2 ], returned 25 results.

I'd bite the bullet and buy one of the AM2+ mobos, myself. They are looking pretty good. IDE/PATA = past, SATA = future. Can't you get by with just one HDD for a while? :)
