Processor registry failure

Hello,the dell inspiron 539 just gives four continous beeps when it is turned on. the best i can tell, it means a processor register failure. since i know nothing about the innards of a computer, where would i find the processor, what would it look like, and how would i make it stop beeping and boot up?
