Hi,

I recently re-seated my PD820 (non OC) on a new motherboard and bought some AF5 thermal compound. Im using a Golden Orb 2 HSF to cool it down. I use a fan controller on the golden orb to keep its noise down but it seems my temp are a little high.

at 1200rpm i have around 44°C at 10-15% load. When i play a game and run some background processes too (messenger, download, etc) it rises to 63°C.

my case temp (measured with asus pc probe 2) is around 34-35°C.

a rise of 10°C seems a little high to me.

What do u think? any suggestions?

thx

I can but it gets noisier. I was thinking about reseating the hsf on the cpu but don't t really know if that helps.

anyways, i am thinking to buy an E8400 in the next months and hopefully yhat one will get much less hotter.

thx
