Multiplier Changing (Feature or Fault)

Does anyone know why the multiplier is changing?

E6300 1.86GHz @ 2.20GHz
Gigabyte DS3L

Bus Speed: 315MHz
With the multiplier changing between 6 & 7 giving me

1890MHz @ X6
2205MHz @ X7

Seems to be changing now and again, but normally sitting on X6. (Readings are from CPU-Z)

So basically is this a option/feature with the gigabyte boards? or a fault with my board?
