The AM2 mobo/Phenom Shaft

Just a heads up for anyone hoping. I own an Abit Fata1ty AN9-32x.
I emailed Abit Tech Support to see if Phenoms would be supported.
This is the response I got:

How nice, a $200 top of the line mobo from Abit and no plans to support Phenom on it.

It's no secret ABIT won't release a new bios for Phenom for their AM2 boards. It's all over Abit forums.

This depends solely on the manufacturers commitment to do it, since my somewhat old M2R32-MVP already has a Bios available making it Phenom compatible. I feel the compatibility was not taken into consideration as much as the mobo makers should have.
