Should I wait for the Radeon HD 3870 X2 i?

I'm not a huge gamer but the thought of having a quadcore cpu and dual gpu is tempting.

What kind of performance increase will these have? They are two cards that take up one slot right with an estimate of $400?

R680 probably will have 1,8x overal speed increase over single 3870. Most likely it will be dual slot due to cooling (like 3870).

Getting 3870 X2 pretty much the same as 3870 Crossfire, up to you if you can wait 1-2 months till its released.
