Most of the benchmarks I've seen have shown the 800gt to be much better in most things, but I don't really know this early on. That would be cool though if it beat the 8800gt...

Aye, me too, so that's why this find was so exciting...
I'm not in any position to guess as to why this is, but considering how the 2900XT performed in DX10 in those two games...well, I'm really surprised at this. I wonder about Crysis DX10 mode...

IMO 8800GT is beaten in DX10 because of Vista drivers. ATI have done better job in Vista and its only the matter of time till nvidia will catch up.
