How to open an inactive partition in windows XP

Hello,I was using a desktop with windows vista .NoW I changed the system to windows XP but there are no supporting drivers .I just want to recover my vista wit recovery disk .but it is not active in windows XP .How can I make it active?

1. If you want supporting drivers for your XP, what is the make/model of your computer?

2. If you just want to get Vista operational, did you install XP on the same drive as Vista was on? If you installed XP over Vista on the same drive, you may not be able to recover the original Vista. When Microsoft created Vista, they created a method of reverting from Vista back to XP. However, XP did not have the functionality coded into its installation package.
