I'm currently running the e8400 at 3.7g linked to my ddr at 1066 .... everything is smooth, temps are at 39-42c idle and from running prime for an hour they top'd off around 56c doing so i got the volts set to 1.32, after reading the guide, i notice what i was reading was safe for the 65nm's but its a different story for the 45nm's .....

Should i back off abit to drop the volts? Am i safe with the temps an volts i'm at ... system seems great, just the volts got me a little concerned in the back of my head ....

Mine required 1.425Volts in Bios to achieve stable 4Ghz. Due to Vdroop my actual vcore was about 1.38Volts. Therefore, your voltage is fine... you can double check in CPU-Z to see what your actual voltage is because it should be slightly lower than what you punched into the BIOS.

Ok cool, Core voltage in HW monitor and cpu-z both report 1.32v ... 3.712ghz HW mon reports 38c cputin idle with core 1 an 2 at 40-41c ...

I tried 4g but i kept blue screening on loading windows ... might of missed something, i'll try again in alittle while ...

Its just zooming along here at 3.71ghz ... 1066mhz ddr2 ... no problems, 37-38c idle ... not much of a boost from 3.6ghz, maybe like a 250 point lift in 3dmark06 ...
