Hi all,

Just a quickie... I've searched the web but to no avail.... but what I'm trying to do is modify the bios of 3 different nvidia cards in order to acheive maximum stable overclocks (with a little headroom for extra O.C'ing)

I've modded my first card, a 256MB 6800GT, taking the spec from 350mhz > 430mhz core & 1000mhz > 1150mhz DDR3 @ 1.4V, which runs perfectly stable and remains stable even when clocked upto 450mhz core & 1200mhz DDR3.

The next card's Ive been asked to edit the BIOS for are as follows:

8800GTX - Currently Standard clocks, what Voltage would I acheive maximum clocks without getting too hot? And what clocks would they need to be?

XFX 8400GS - Cooled by fan / heatsink, Dont ask why I'm O.C one of these, but I just want to see what sort of clocks these can acheive, possibly with a slight Voltage increase... I've heard of people getting 650mhz+ which is crazy.

7950GT 512MB - I've just acquired one of these cards for a tiny sum... £20! Obviously Im keen to see what its capable of. What Voltages and clocks would be safe / beneficial? Using the stock cooler.

Anybodies help here would be massively appreciated!

Anyone got any advice on this.

I don't think the G80's bios can be modded.

Ive modded the 8400GS's BIOS, to quite good effect too..

Core: 450mhz > 650mhz
DDR2: 800mhz > 900mhz
Shader: 918mhz > 975mhz

Call of Duty 4 actually flys now! 50+ FPS with No AA / AF on Default Graphics settings, still looks great.

Impressive little cards considering the cost.

That's because 8400GS is G84 and not G80. You will probably have to volt-mod the G80s to increase the voltage.
