I want to change my system to use RAID 0. I currently have a 250 gb SATA drive with a 32 mb cache. I have not created a RAID setup since before SATA drives came out. At the time, I was using exact duplicate drives. This time however, I am considering saving myself $25 or so and getting a 250 gb drive with a 16 mb cache.

What I want to know is will I be making a mistake in getting the drive with the 16 mb cache for the mirror, or should I splurge and go with the 32 mb cache again? What impact will it have on my system? Will it slow it down? Are there other problems that will arise, assuming I go with the 16 mb cache drive?

Thanks for all input.

Thanks a lot. I was unsure if the cache made a difference, as you are only writing to the second one and do no reads. But, y'all are right. Why gamble it?
