I am a bit confused about what the DVI standard can handle. From what I understand, the original standard is limited to 1600x1200 (or something that gives the same area), but through some tweak, it can handle 1920x1200 on a single link.

Would it be possible to run a Sumsung 245B with 1920x1200 over DVI and also another monitor at 1600x1200 connected to the other DVI port of my GeForce 8600GT card (ASUS EN8600GT 512MB)?
Or are there any limitations in the hardware/drivers that prevents this?
