Aight - supply and demand is really sucking major donkey b@!!$ right now. Anyways...Is the HD3850 worth settling for right now given that it will be an upgrade from an '05 rig? There's no way im paying $380 for an 8800GT right now. I'll be upgrading from 2x 6600's.

considering you can get 2x 3850s for $360
it will be at least 1.5x better than a single 3870, but then again i'm just guessing.

 

my 2cents, dont buy anything till January/February

 

there are all sorts of crazy things happening, dx10.1, quad cores, ddr3, pci-e2.0 etc..etc..
