I'm considering the purchase of the above Pioneer plasma TV (Costco unit, as
of May 2005) and would like to use the TV as a monitor for watching DVD and
HDTV, and also as a computer monitor (for web surfing, e-mail, etc.). Down
the road, gaming may even happen.

Questions:
1) I understand this TV has several "software type" features that will
prevent burn in. Does this mean it would be safe to use as a computer
monitor? Note that I would not be leaving it on constantly like most people
do with computer monitors.
2) For the split screen viewing, can one use a computer monitor (DVI input)
on one side of the screen, and have HDTV or a movie (HDMI input or composite
input) playing on the other side of the screen?

Thanks.
