How to stick a heatsink and fan together?

I want to add a fan to my motherboards northbridge heatsink. I have considered glue but Im guessing over time it will get hard and break. I have heard of people using cable ties. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I don't think you should use glue. Cable ties work fine. Just use something that doesn't melt at high temps.
