How to stick a heatsink and fan together?

I want to add a fan to my motherboards northbridge heatsink. I have considered glue but Im guessing over time it will get hard and break. I have heard of people using cable ties. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

  1. I don't think you should use glue. Cable ties work fine. Just use something that doesn't melt at high temps.

If you have the TRU/TRUE, there's wire clips coming with it. Called "Ultima90 120mm Fan wire clips". Here's the installation tip on how to install the wire clips: http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/product_page/cpu/utm90/installation_cpu_cooler_utm90.html#120mm

If you don't have the TRU/TRUE, then you can buy the wire clips here:

    Hope this helped!

    Kind regards,
