Ok, well we know that the 8800GTS SCC matches the 8800GT at lower res and pulls a bit ahead at higher res. It also has a dual slot cooler than IMO is way better.

Well, check this out:

8800GTS SSC with Crysis $350AR IN STOCK
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130305

8800GT SSC with quake wars $330 NOT in stock.

For anyone who wants crysis and can't find a decent price on an 8800GT, factor $50 for the game and the card is $300.

If you have crysis, save $10 and get quake wars instead:

If I hadn't have bought crysis, I might have done this today.

Well, rumor has it the new G92 GTS 8800 with 128 shader pipes is coming out 12/3 and it will SMOOOOKE the G80 GTS in gameplay, and it will cost only about 300 USD.

I'd wait.

Yeah, I too am hoping for a G92 based 8800GTS. But we still don't know it's 128 SPU's and no way will it be $300 if it is.

But it's that card you speak of that makes me want to stick to EVGA if I get an 8800GT or this SSC, as with such high current prices the trade up option would probably not be a bad deal. At least nice to have th option in case.

Oh, also, I take it if I do the evga trade up would I have to return crysis with the card right? That's tough for me as I already own crysis and wanted to give it away. Anyway, just thinking out loud sorry.
