OK the hundred dollar question.

Crysis laughs at my system. I already have a 7600gt. I can get another off Ebay for $40 and SLI it. Worth it, or should I ditch the 7600 and go with a new card?

I'm already happy with this card, it plays Team Fortress 2 with no problem. I'm sticking with Nvidia for Linux. I'm willing to spend a little more if the gain is significant, but I don't want to enter the video card arms race. I've done it before, it's too expensive.

Thoughts?

i'm almost in a similar position, but sometime when i'm really drunk i get carried away at ebay, and i might just overpay and score a pair of 8800gt s

Why cant ati write good linux drivers, pisses me off. but anyways whatever it is, next system is going to be all AMD/ATi

7600 is getting pretty weak for a game like Crysis, and I don't think SLI'ing another one is the answer you are looking for.
Like my old 1950pro, its about time to take the plunge for a better card.

For the record it's a core-2-duo e4300, overclocked to 3.0ghz. 2gb RAM running XP.

HD 3850 for $180 @ newegg would be a good budget card.
