Trouble burning DVD

Hello, i bought a DVD+R with 4.7GB memory but computer says the disc only has 707 mg of memory. I need to burn 2.43GB of video. How do I get it to burn more?

The 707MB sounds suspiciously like the capacity of a CD/R disc. Is your burning software set to DVD mode. For instance, the Nero Burning Utility can be set to burn to CDs or DVD's in most cases
(This is usually found on the menus or at the top of the Nero Windows). I'm guessing that your software is also set to burn to a CD.
