Hey Guys I decided on getting a GA-P35-DS3L I went to
the gigabyte website and got the RAM compatability
Sheet/List.

Is this List the only RAM that will work with the Board?
Or is it simply a list that is recomended by Gigabyte?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I just wanted to know
before I started buying parts.

Some RAM that works properly on one brand of mobo won't on another brand. If you get one that is not on the list you are taking a gamble. If you are prepared to deal with the possible aggravation, then go for it.

Yes, you can use any DDR2 RAM on the DS3L as long as you have the correct voltage, speed, etc.
