Pimpin' out my q6600 because on air at 3.830 was over 91c!

Well, I decided to put it on liquid and see what it does for the temps, my Ultra hit 90c and water made it go no higher than 68c. Will it work for a Processor? I guess I will find out. Koolance all in one case w/processor cooling setup. (A steal on Craigs List for 100$!!!)
I need someone to tell me how to post the pics, or where one of the free image hosting thingies are!
I'll post the results when I get it up and going!

P5k-e Wifi, BFG 8800 GTS factory OC, Kingston HyperX 1066 @2.2volt, q6600 VID 1.2625 G0, Thermaltake toughpower 700, 2 x 250 gig Western Digital SATA 1 (1.5 per) 5400 RPM 2.5 inch laptop drives in Raid 0! That Koolance all in one case/processor cooling kit. Has full controller, trip fan radiator, status, pre lapped water block, etc. I cant find the model number, so I have no clue, but it has EVERYTHING.

Hmm, Looks like it still needs alot of testing to find a sweet spot. It still looks somewhat hot to me, but hey, never know how that thing is seated, its some weird attachment thingie. Its hot in my room, and at 3737, 415 FSB, its gotten as high as 77c. Which is cold because it was at 85c on air, and at 3820, air was 92c, lol, only 83 on liquid!! Waiting for My PC ICE, get it in two days, my GSkill ram should be here tomorrow. Yippie!
I ended up lapping the supposedly already pre lapped cooler, and its much better now, first time around it was still hawt!
Anywho, have fun!

Looking for minimum voltage for small ftts at 3737. If it goes down a notch or two, that could be a decent every day OC if the heat goes down a few degrees.

Hmmm.. it appears that my best OC for it so far is 3800 @ 1.49 volts in windows. For some reason Load Line Calibration actually works at this setting, and allows for a droop to 1.472 only. The droop is there, but it appears to not variate from this point. Just one setting higher in the bios and the voltage nets 1.53... but the point at which its reduced to due to processor load variated a bit.
Between lower and higher while testing... and that wasnt so good when it took a dip as I am looking for its minimum voltage.
To be honest I didnt think it would survive 8 hours of prime small ftts on all cores without BSODing for VCore. Guess I was wrong.
Someone did tell me once that the lower the temps, the more efficient the processor will be. Now that the hottest core hits a 8 hour max of 77c and not in the 90s, it appears that a little less VCore is possible.

Info: FSB 1900! 475x4, Multi x 8, VCore 1.49 drooped to a min of 1.478 during 8 hour small ftts, Memory synced @ 950 At stock voltages and timings. (Kingston hyperx 1066)
Dunno if thats any good, but it works!

dang!, you best tune that beeyatch down before it goes chernobyl on yo dum ass..., ;) Just kidding Bro!, seriously, its to hot, won't last very long. It really shouldn't be going over 65 under full load. I'm surprised she hasn't shut down on you.

Hehe, well. It shuts down at over 100c! Thats always a good safety feature. And I have since gotten a True and its better off at 3.8, will still get into the lower 70s, but what do you expect?

That 100c is due to not having the water block on properly. All better now! My b3 gets the water block, it fits on the maximus formula board!
