pcu: 3.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
mother board:intel D875PBZLK 875p w/ dual channel ddr 8x AGP
psu: antec 430w

The old card is a Radeon 9800xt

Would I see massive improvements in games if im able to run it?

You would need a new motherboard, processor and RAM. The problem is, they don't make an 8800gt in AGP.

oh and possibly a new power supply.

No you wouldn't be able to run this card because you have no type of pci-e slot on your board.

Yes u would see massive improvements considering the 9800XT can do 30 FPS or so when on MAxed out on doom 3...and with the 8800 GT you'll be over 100...lol

Sell your old rig on craigslist/ebay and build a new one.

It's cheap to build nowdays, and a rocking e2160 (Core 2) system with 8800GT can be made for a little over $600.

I'd go Athlon 5000+ cuz it's dirt cheap and overclockable ($115)
VGA: 8800 GT (300)
motherboard: M2Ne-SLI (100)
RAM OCZ Elites 2 gig (120$)
HD 320 Gigs (70$) or Raptor 72 gig (140$)
p900 Antec Case (100$)
mouse keyboard (30) or if you want gaming its more
CD Drive (30$)
This is in CAD lol so i dunno if the amounts apply where u live.
And all are good parts:)
Remember about taxes:)

It would be over 600 for sure if he wants a decent gaming system...maybe over 800 even...
