Foxconn x38a onboard sound inop

I have a foxconn x38a and cant get my onboard sound to work. I tried everything.... Unistalled packaged drivers and installed new driver from website. My front audio is connected so it's not that. Does anyone have any experience with this mobo or related problem. I cant imagine that the sound hardware is bad from factory but maybe... any suggestions.

I've got the same motherboard. I haven't had this problem however I have had a problem where COD4 doesn't load and crashes immediately unless I have a microphone connected to the front connector.

Try Bios P05, it fixed a few issues for me.
